The learning task of the second semester is over. I have learned a lot about fashion business from the class.
And I know how to use research methods to analyze brands.For example, we learned that when conducting brand research, we can use book research and secondary research to obtain information. Through the analysis of these materials, we can further understand the history and market information of the brand.In addition, research methods such as SWOT, PEST and Mission can be used to more confidently understand the details of all aspects of the brand. Such as price positioning, fabric selection, market value, advantages, disadvantages, threats and future development of the brand. Through the understanding of these details, we can further improve the understanding of our brand.After completing the preliminary investigation, we want to develop products for cooperation between the two brands. I chose uma Wang to combine with Dior. Uma Wang represents the Eastern market, while Dior represents the Western market. The reason for their cooperation is also the exchange and cooperation between eastern culture and Western culture.Through a lot of brand research, the next thing we need to do is the product research and development stage. This is a very important part. I consider that uma Wang’s fabric can be combined with Dior’s bag. We studied the needs of customer groups and compared the prices of other competitors. Through these details, I made 12 cooperative products, which had a good visual performance.After the product is finished, this is not enough, need to do publicity work. A good product and publicity go hand in hand. Without good publicity, customers can not directly understand the product, and will greatly reduce customers’ desire to buy the product.Therefore, I used Sketch Up to simulate the visual effect of the store, and I also created a simulated Instagrams brand page for brand publicity.
Now that the course is over, my first thought about the whole course and project is that I have learned a lot of useful business knowledge and analytical methods. Most of them are positive, such as how to learn and find primary and secondary surveys, which can clearly express the data in the form of charts.In the whole learning process of my portfolio, I think the research on products is the most interesting. I designed a new series through the fabric and the shape of the bag. What I find difficult is the promotion of the product. When making visual effects, it is difficult to make what I think, which is also something I need to improve.I believe that SWOT, PEST and mission research methods will also be applied in my undergraduate studies. This is the clearest way for brand research to understand the internal information and external environment of a brand.In my opinion, I can learn more about how to promote a brand in the future. The image of a brand needs to be known to consumers through brand promotion. Therefore, I want to know more about how to make publicity posters and publicity media, so as to better improve my collection of works.
