This lesson will cover research, research methods and how to use the UAL library to search for information. We know that market research is defined as the systematic design, collection, analysis and reporting of data and findings related to marketing situations faced by brand partnerships. What are these marketing decisions likely to be for my chosen brand and partnership? I need to think about these aspects. The research is also divided into primary research and secondary research. Primary research means doing original research on your own stuff including gathering other information for research that you can’t find directly. I can conduct research through questionnaires, store visits, product testing and other methods. Secondary research is the collection of existing data and information, such as information obtained from newspapers, databases and the Internet. It is usually used in second-hand research. Secondly, second-hand research also consists of two parts, namely internal resources and external resources. The goal is to understand customer attitudes and choices. It is usually collected by small groups of products, prices, packaging, brands. This may enable companies to design products that are more attractive to customers.
I think my advantage is that I can clearly distinguish the difference between primary and secondary research. This has a very important impact and effect on the following operations. Secondly, I have mastered how to use research methods, such as charts and status charts, to make the data more clear. Therefore, I also used the chart situation to express my findings and data in the homework of this class.My weakness is that when MAKING charts, I find it a little difficult to conceive the chart structure. Although I know the knowledge points in class, I also have some difficulties in applying them. When I encounter something I am not sure about, I should ask my classmates or teachers for advice, which will be helpful for my future development in business. Another thing I need to improve is that I should make more use of the school library. There are many free materials and databases in the library, so I should explore and research more. It’s also good for brand research.
Finally, as for my summary of this class, I think I should do more research on the brand, instead of limiting myself to one research method, I can understand the brand from various aspects. Only in this way can I improve my understanding of the brand and make good use of some mixed elements in my works.I will work harder to finish my homework!
